4/22/2020

To keep patients safe at home and reduce the risk of possible spread of COVID-19, Baptist Health Care now offers Baptist Telehealth, a virtual care platform that offers patients access to a private, secure video appointment and the opportunity to receive care in the comfort of their own homes. The primary care and urgent care providers and the specialists of Baptist Medical Group, Baptist Heart and Vascular Institute and Andrews Institute are now equipped to provide this platform to patients. Baptist physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners are available for telehealth appointments.

Baptist Telehealth is the most comprehensive virtual health care platform of specialists in the region. Benefits for patients include:

  •  Excellent care delivered by local experts— physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • Accessible to patients in their homes to avoid unnecessary travel.
  • Uninterrupted treatment of chronic disease.

To schedule a telehealth appointment, patients can visit eBaptistHealthCare.org to follow the simple online directions, call their Baptist Health Care provider or call 850.434.4080. When a telehealth appointment time is set, they will receive a Zoom meeting invitation along with instructions for the appointment by email.

While telehealth can provide a comprehensive appointment, some conditions are still best suited to be addressed in-person. Baptist providers can help patients navigate that path.
