Nursing Orientations
Traditions:
A two-day introduction to the Baptist Health Care Culture
Graduate Nursing Orientation: Graduate Nurses are offered an individualized orientation with a preceptor and welcomed into a nurturing environment where career goals can be attained.
Critical Care Orientation: The Critical Care Internship Program allows nurses to safely and comfortably make the transition into direct patient care of our critically ill patients. The training consists of classroom lecturing and one-on-one bedside training to allow the new graduate the opportunity to put his or her new skills to work.
Kym Melton, Critical Care Educator for Baptist, We have been able to successfully transition new graduates into our Intensive Care Units and have been proud to see how well they are able to perform the role of primary caregiver in this highly specialized area.
