Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute announces the addition of board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon James Taylor, D.O., FACOS. Dr. Taylor has 28 years of experience and works with patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans to meet their individual needs.
Dr. Taylor earned his Doctor of Medicine at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Dr. Taylor completed his residency in general surgery at Peninsula Hospital in Queens, New York, and his fellowship in cardiovascular and vascular surgery at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey.
Dr. Taylor has 28 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery in cardiothoracic surgery. He has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career, including chief of cardiac surgery, medical director of cardiovascular surgery and medical director of cardiovascular surgical intensive care.
Dr. Taylor’s professional memberships include the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Association.
As part of Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Taylor cares for patients at the Bear Family Foundation Health Center, 125 Baptist Way, Suite 3B, in Pensacola.
