Board-certified physician assistant Matthew Thomas Smith, PA-C, has joined Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute (BHVI).

Smith earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, and completed his master’s at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, Metrolina Association of Physician Assistants and Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
