Baptist Hospital Recognized as a Level I Maternal Levels of Care Verified Facility
Baptist Hospital is recognized as a Level I Maternal Levels of Care Verified facility. To earn the qualification, experts from The Joint Commission completed a thorough, objective assessment of patient care, clinical expertise, equipment and resources that support safe births and maternal outcomes.
“We are proud of this designation that recognizes our team for providing the highest level of patient care quality and safety,” said xx. “We provide a tailored birthing experience that aligns with each expectant mom’s needs and preferences.”
Baptist Hospital Mother-Baby Center physicians, midwives and nurses help expectant parents navigate maternal care throughout the entire experience with compassion and expertise. An array of classes and information is available for before and after delivery. The hospital has dedicated an entire floor to the exclusive, personal care of mom and baby, and every room is thoughtfully designed to enhance comfort and safety.
“The Joint Commission commends Baptist Hospital for being named a level I maternal care verified facility and for its efforts to standardize maternal care and reduce maternal morbidity and mortality,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, R.N., executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission. “The Maternal Levels of Care Verification program will help Baptist strengthen regionalized care for mothers and babies in its community.”
The Joint Commission’s Maternal Levels of Care (MLC) Verification program was developed using the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' Levels of Maternal Care Obstetric Care Consensus clinical guidance.
