Gulf Breeze Hospital is celebrating 40 years of serving the community.  Baptist Health Care opened the facility on June 24, 1985, which has provided convenient access to lifesaving hospital and outpatient services in south Santa Rosa County to thousands of residents and visitors.

“Gulf Breeze Hospital’s contributions over the past four decades are immeasurable – patient care, careers, community involvement and so much more,” said Mark Faulkner, president and CEO, Baptist Health Care. “Additions to the campus over the years include many services, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sport Medicine, physician practices and the Ciano Cancer Center. We consistently hear from members of the community who share their tremendous appreciation and support.”

Gulf Breeze Hospital offers an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient care, provided by more than 565 team members. In addition, 72 dedicated Gulf Breeze Hospital auxiliary members provide volunteer and fundraising support. Annually, the location sees approximately 3,100 hospital admissions, more than 112,000 outpatient appointments and over 17,000 emergency department visits. The team members at Gulf Breeze Hospital consistently provide care that earns top patient experience and quality rankings.

In addition to services on the campus, the hospital has served as a catalyst for Baptist Health Care’s additional growth on the Santa Rosa peninsula, which includes Baptist Medical Park – Navarre (2000), Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (2007), and many primary care and specialty physician practices.

Significant additions to the facility were completed in 2004 and again in 2011, and Gulf Breeze Hospital continuously invests in expansion projects and the addition of services and providers to meet the needs of the ever-growing community.

“We are honored to celebrate 40 years of being the trusted health care provider in our community,” said Julie Cardwell, Gulf Breeze Hospital administrator and Baptist Health Care senior vice president. “We will continue to provide the latest services, treatments and technology in a healing environment. We look forward to exploring future advancements and service offerings that support the needs of our community for the next 40 years and beyond.”
