Baptist Medical Group has expanded its neurosurgery team with the addition of certified physician assistant Joanne Shung, PA‑C, who now provides comprehensive care for patients with challenging brain, spine and peripheral nerve disorders.

Shung completed the physician assistant program at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She earned her Master of Science in biology from the University of West Florida and her Bachelor of Science in biology from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola. Shung is also board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

As part of Baptist Medical Group – Neurosurgery, Shung cares for patients at her clinic located at the Bear Family Foundation Health Center, 125 Baptist Way, Suite 4C, in Pensacola.
