Cindy Hlavacek, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon who is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients. She focuses on treating the whole person to address concerns and discuss treatment options to achieve the best outcomes. Dr. Hlavacek is committed to delivering comprehensive surgical evaluation, individualized treatment planning and ongoing support throughout every stage of care. What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
I find it most rewarding to know that I directly helped someone through a difficult time in their life and consider it one of the greatest honors.

Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care they deserve.
I review my current patients daily to ensure they are taken care of and that tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Do you have any specific medical interests?
My specific medical interests include treatment options for breast cancer and robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques.

What are the primary conditions you treat?
The conditions I treat include breast cancer and other benign breast conditions, gallstones and biliary dyskinesia and different types of abdominal hernias.

What aspect of your specialty is your favorite?
My favorite part of my specialty is that no two days are the same, which keeps my role interesting and challenging.

What are the topics or areas of your specialty that you most enjoy educating patients about?
I most enjoy educating my patients about cancer awareness and offering prevention tools such as screening.
