Dr. Vigo is the best doctor. Excellence, professionalism, compassion, healing. Dr. Vigo is at the top of his field. A wonderful doctor and an incredible human being. He is effective in getting out in front of potential problems so that medical problems can be avoided. He asks the right questions and makes wise informed conclusions. I attribute my good health to his intelligence, wisdom and guidance. Baptist Is lucky to have Dr. Vigo. He was my physician in [...], and I now drive to Pensacola for this elevated level of medical care.

I live in a community where health care is not always optimum. I have such confidence in Dr Vigo that I would prefer to drive more than an hour to see him rather than accepting mediocrity at home.

Dr.Vigo is an excellent doctor or I would not have driven over an hour to continue seeing him. He's knowledgeable, extremely caring, patient and kind. I've never had a bad experience with him !!

What led you to become a physician?
My father was a doctor; excellent role model.
What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
It is most rewarding to be proactive in detecting problems before something serious happens – it saves lives.
How would a patient describe you?
Honest, thorough and compassionate – always willing to help.
What’s your proudest moment as a physician?
When I saved a patient with a massive pulmonary embolism after others gave up.
In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship?
Trust and respect.
What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
Hard work pays off. People live longer when we work hard together to keep them healthy.
What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
To make sure that they are medically optimized.
Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care they deserve.
I spend a lot of time explaining to patients what each lab result value means and how best to optimize it.

I am a man of deep faith, always guided by a high power/purpose.
