Baptist Health Care Hosts Stroke Symposium May 17

The Baptist Health Care Stroke Program will host the 2019 Stroke Symposium on Fri., May 17 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front (12 Via De Luna Drive, Pensacola Beach.) 

The day-long symposium will offer educational opportunities for health care providers throughout Northwest Florida, South Alabama and surrounding areas. It is structured for physicians, nurses, case managers, allied health professionals and other hospital care providers. Continuing education credits will be available. Vendors will be on hand to showcase programs and services.

Speakers include experts from Mayo Clinic, Medical University of South Carolina and University of Cincinnati Medical Center as well as other regional health care professionals in the industry. Topics will include the updates to the 2018 American Heart Association stroke guidelines, neurovascular stroke management, improving door-to-needle times, pediatric stroke, the role of EMS in stroke and other timely topics.
