PENSACOLA, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2015) – Baptist Health Care (BHC) President and CEO Mark Faulkner has been elected to serve as chairman for the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) 2015-2016 Board of Trustees.

As FHA board chair, Faulkner advocates on behalf of more than 200 Florida health systems and the patients and communities they serve. This year, the board will continue to lead hospital clinical performance improvement efforts. The Association has begun its second phase of the FHA Hospital Engagement Network, a collaborative of 77 hospitals working to reduce preventable hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent and 30-day readmissions by 20 percent.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark to the role of FHA board chairman,” said FHA President Bruce Rueben. “As a member of the FHA Board of Trustees for the past three years, Mark has demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to service. We look forward to working closely with him on advocacy and education initiatives that further Florida hospitals’ mission to provide the highest quality care in the communities we serve.”
