Gulf Breeze Hospital Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary

On June 24, Gulf Breeze Hospital will celebrate 30 years of service to the community, providing expert, personalized care. The hospital opened in 1985 offering, for the first time in Gulf Breeze, convenient access to state-of-the-art medical care. While the hospital has changed — doubling in size since it opened — the service and care has maintained the highest quality, always putting patients first.

Gulf Breeze Hospital is a recipient of The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for health care quality and safety in hospitals and is recognized by the Commission as a Primary Stroke Care Center. Gulf Breeze Hospital also has received an A-rating Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group for the past four years, recognizing excellence in inpatient injuries, infections, and medical and medication errors. In 2012, Gulf Breeze Hospital was named to the Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals® list, and again in 2013, named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Truven Health Analytics, formerly the healthcare business of Thomson Reuters. The Top 100 Hospitals study recognizes facilities that deliver higher quality and more efficient care than other hospitals of similar size.

Gulf Breeze Hospital offers private rooms for all patients, with a 65-bed acute care hospital and an eight-bed intensive care unit. Services available at Gulf Breeze Hospital include Andrews Institute Rehabilitation, Ciano Cancer Center, emergency services, Endoscopy Center, Heart and Vascular Care, Stroke Care Center, Sleep Disorder Center, primary care and specialty physicians, and Women Services.
